A B O U T   R K 2

RK2 is an innovative technical ceramics company with a mission to manufacture and invent non-oxide ceramics and their composites, servicing a large application field driven by the diversity of properties offered by the material class. These advanced technical ceramics have a high demand in the market as a replacement for, or a step improvement upon, metals, polymers, and traditional refractory materials in a wide variety of applications due to their notable high temperature capability, hardness, chemical, thermal, and electrical properties.

These properties can be further developed, combined, and tailored for use in specific technical applications. Non-oxide ceramics have already enabled advancements in critical future growth industries such as: aerospace (hypersonics), energy (fusion, alternative energy), defense (armor, electronics), and manufacturing (3D printing). These materials can be used to design advanced components that perform with incredible precision, consistency, and stability. Components made from advanced ceramics are increasingly the only solution available for technical challenges that cannot be overcome with conventional materials. RK2 has a vision to be a primary domestic supplier and designer of those solutions.
